Introducing BAWDA, the new BIONICLE Advanced Wars Forum! Suggestions?

Welcome to BIONICLE Advanced Wars: Destiny Arena! This is a new and better incarnation of BAW. As you may notice, there have been several improvements. Note that a quick reply feature has been added below, as well as a revamp of your profile section, so that you may hide personal information, comment on other peoples profiles, and add friends.

While superior to the late-great BAWEPE, BAWDA is far from perfect. You are the BAW Pioneers, and are helping me and the BAW Administrators to lay the groundwork for future BAWDA members. If you have questions, concerns, suggestions, or bug reports, please let me or any of the other BAW Administrators know! You may also discuss the configuration of the BAW forum here.

Thanks to all of you who have stuck with BAW since the beginning, and let's all get ready for a whole new adventure to begin!

By the way, I'm curious: do y'all want the character sheet feature back for your profiles? Its intended use was for the official BAW RPG (which is still going up soon, by the way. Tidbit: It's called "Brink of Destruction")

Anyway, do you want them back? A lot of people found them confusing.

I think that, perhaps, we might do without them. As you said, they confused people, and it might be easier to just submit them/post them instead.

As for other suggestions... for post ranks, we could continue with the ones shown before.

Also, a couple of questions.
1. Will you be adding post rank images, or leave them out?
2. How do you comment on someone's profile?

Okay, I guess we'll leave character sheets out for now, then.

I will get to post ranks... soon. They might be a little different from before, though, because I don't remember what they were. XD

And to answer your questions:

1: Yes, I will, but I have to redraw them, because if I use the default ones, they'll have a hideous white outline.

2: When you open someone else's profile, you'll find a list of options 3 lines down. There's a link that says "Visitor Messages." Click that, then hit the "New Post" button.

I actually remember all the ranks (I think) from before. I can also think of some good rank images, as long as their size is small enough. And thanks for enabling commenting.

Alrighty then, as soon as I retrieve the PM's content from the backup file where it's been stored for the last few hours (long story there `~`)

And I foresee BS01 being a big help in terms of finding rank images.

@Kroenen: Well, the character sheets did provide easy access, but we can just submit them to the RPG topic when it goes up instead. Which might be less confusing.

I think it would be awesome if the personal pages had special features that could be enabled or disabled - for instance, there could be a picture-displayer on ones profile, so if you are artistic you can also show your work there.

That would be rather neat. Even if one weren't an artist, one could display MOCs on one's profile... especially if the picture/creation in question were just a preview.

There is a gallery feature, I think, but I'm not sure how it looks or how it's set up. Whatever it looks like, that's how it's gonna have to be, because there's only limited customization for that sort of thing. But I'll see what I can do. ;D

I enabled the gallery feature, but it needs some work. It's not in your profile; it's in the top menu. You can create your own gallery. I'll see if I can change a couple of the icons and make it less... confusing.

@GT: The whole admin panel is confusing, pretty much. I'm surprised I've managed to figure anything out at all. :P

Unless I remember/want to use it, I probably won't use the gallery function just yet. My Brickshelf already has what I use most frequently. But if I build something new, then I'll start using this one.
